Windfarm Due Diligence

The Claymore team has provided environmental due diligence and engineering services to the owners of wind farms throughout Pennsylvania. Our scope on these projects typically includes the preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, drilling services, and geotechnical design. Working with partners on the project we also assisted with the completion of various surveys and with regulatory compliance.

Solar Farm Feasibility Studies
Northeast Pennsylvania
Claymore was hired to complete environmental due diligence for a client looking to develop solar farms on closed landfills. Our scope on this project included Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and drilling services for the client’s geotechnical engineer. Claymore also assisted with regulatory compliance.

Hotel Duval
Tallahassee, FL
Addition of the Level 8 lounge atop the existing 7-story downtown hotel would result in significantly increased loads. Claymore staff performed a supplemental subsurface exploration, comparing previously determined soil and foundation conditions. Using state-of-the art techniques, Our engineers determined a more than adequate safety factor for foundation support with the improvements.

Contract Water Operator Services
Multiple communities around Lake Wallenpaupack, PA.
Our team provides circuit rider water operation services to more than 30 community water systems in and around Lake Wallenpaupack. PADEP regulations require each system to be managed by a certified operator with the knowledge and experience necessary to make informed process control decisions and to keep systems running effectively so that safe drinking water can provided to the clients we serve.

T.P Smith Water Reclamation Facility
Tallahassee, FL
The T.P. Smith Water Reclamation Facility (TPSWRF) provides wastewater treatment and water reclamation for the majority of the city. In order to comply with more stringent nitrogen limits, the existing 26.5 mgd facility needed to be upgraded. Claymore engineers provided construction materials testing services on the facility expansion.

Metropolitan Corporate Center
Tallahassee, FL
Our engineers completed a thorough subsurface exploration among the 14 development tracts in the Metropolitan Corporate Center development site. Finding medium dense clayey sands dominating the soil profile, shallow spread footings were determined viable in our geotechnical evaluation. Claymore personnel performed earthwork and concrete testing on this first of many planned multi-story office buildings

First District Court of Appeal (1st DCA)
Tallahassee, FL
The Florida First District Court of Appeal was constructed on former farmland in the Southwood community. With the aid of subsurface exploration (both geophysical and soil borings), Claymore staff completed the evaluation for foundation design (shallow spread footings), infiltration characterization for storm water management, and potential for sinkhole occurrence at the site. Our personnel monitored earthwork operations as the project progressed.

Underground Storage Tank Removal
FCI- Schuylkill, Pennsylvania
Claymore worked together with a general contractor converting the prisons back-up generator system from diesel fuel to natural gas. Our scope included permitting assistance, the removal of five 20,000-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs), and regulatory sampling and reporting. Adverse weather, a tight project deadline and security requirements made this a challenging project however our team was able to safely complete our scope in less than a week.
